  • ramen

traditionally hand made noodles made from pulling and twisting, bouncing, and pulling some more.

these noodles have been the dietary staple for billions of people for thousands of years.

in the search of the perfect bowl of ramen, we went to socal Hakata Ramen specialists, Shin-Sen-Gumi.

    shin-sen-gumi has scenery.

  • Just something about the city..

..that keeps me drawn.  I don't live in sf, nor do I even claim that I visit it much.  But there's something about its spirit that transcends the people that live there.

The city itself is alive, or maybe it reflects my own mood.  I woke up at 6:20 in the morning greeted by dark grey skies and towers ghostly lit and blanketed by fog.  I need a sidekick to take the photos while I wander about.  I wish the city would stay in a perpetually fog enveloped twilight of 6:40am.

by 7:25am I was already enjoying a cup of coffee and a pastry at the Hotel Nikko.

Thanks to Doo Young for the squeeky yet comfortable Aerobed.
Thanks to my brother for giving me a place to pass out for six hours.
And thanks to the city for a chance to change my life from a bit of the hum drum, if only for just a few hours.
